Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his role in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His interest in acting began during his college years. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been in films and in television shows but it's the actors portrayed in small screen that have given him popularity. He has been able to easily play characters from both sides of the law to grab an audience's focus. In his very first TV project, he played the role of a serial killer. In later projects, he was the character of an NYPD detective. For his performances on small screens, he has received multiple nominations for prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. The piercingly blue eyes of his face have been deemed to be the most appealing feature. They have been utilized to portray rough characters as well as give them a sense of humour. People's magazine's 2006 list for Sexiest Men Alive included him.
